what we do

The Renters’ Rights and Information Association is an organization created to help tenants navigate the laws that govern landlords and tenants in Ontario.

We provide information that helps renters understand the rights and obligations set out by the Landlord and Tenant Board and the Residential Tenancies Act.

We strive to protect renters by giving them the information they need to stay up to date on current issues impacting tenants such as rent strikes, above guideline rent increases and Landlord and Tenant Board hearings.

The Renters’ Rights and Information Association believes that renters deserve accessible, easy to understand information about the rights and responsibilities of residential tenants.
